An exciting week at Haywards Farm School
What an exciting week for all of our students Haywards Farm School. We are super proud of the opportunities afforded to our students and learners across Stable Futures- Amegreen.
Willow Class :
They ended the week with an enrichment trip to support PE and went trampolining. They also had an amazing time taking part in sailing which is also part of our PE curriculum. During the summer our students within YR5 and YR6 will be taking part in Relationships sex education, parents will be receiving written notice of what this looks like and how students will be supported by our RSE specialist. We are hoping that this coming week will be more settled for these students and have put in additional support by our therapeutic team to encourage engagement.
Maple Class :
This week Maple class walked over to the Burghfield sailing club to explore and meet their instructors. We cannot wait for the first session on the water next Tuesday. In English we wrote a letter based on our novel freedom bird, using modal verbs. In maths lessons, we have been exploring 2D shapes, angles and what features polygons have.
Cherry Class :
In the forest school, children from Cherry Class learned how to observe aerial photographs for key human and physical features through fun activities with V. They had lots of fun. Cherry class used a range of art tools, materials and techniques to create their own piece of artwork. And the children finally had a chance to choose their favourite games and enjoyed free time with friends.
Red Oak Class :
This week saw Red Oak class working on their life skills and personal development alongside their day-to-day curriculum activities. Students took part in cooking, supported play and Forest School.
